VE75 Celebrations Cancelled

Below is the statement from Bruni Peek about VE75. I am afraid that the terrible Coronavirus emergency has caused us to make the difficult decision to cancel the VE Day 75 community celebrations due to take place on the bank holiday weekend of 8th – 10th May. It is right and proper that people should be kept safe and healthy. My sincere thanks to everyone who registered their events and were looking forward to celebrating VE Day 75. I know how disappointed you will be that these cannot now go ahead. However, we are still encouraging the solo piping element to continue from a safe and suitable location, such as their homes. I am hoping that all the events you have so carefully planned can be moved to the weekend of 15th – 16th August when we will be able to celebrate VE Day and VJ Day, both momentous days in our history. I am in communication with the Department for Digital,...

QUIZGO

QUIZGO

Boxford Community Council are hosting a QuizGo night at Boxford Village Hall 7:30 – 11:00pm on Saturday 7th March. Quizgo, takes the best bits of the pub quiz and make them better by combining them with elements of bingo, meaning not only do you and your team mates need to know the answers, you also need lady luck on your side. The random nature of the answer sheets and the element of chance puts an end to the same couple of teams always winning the quiz, and adds fun, unpredictability and a suspense, along with a sense of fairness as everyone now has an opportunity to win. This event is being run to raise funds toward the Boxford VE75 Street Party to be held in Broad St on 8th May. Register your team online - boxford-quizgo.eventbrite.co.uk email - mark.miller@talktalk.net phone – 01787211596  (please leave your name, phone number and number of players you would like to register) The evening will cost £7.50 per head (payable on the night) and will include...
